Having had a look through next weeks issue of TV and Satellite Week (other tv listings magazines available free via my local County Council library scheme), there isn't much going on in TV quiz world.
Saturday sees the long awaited return of Stars In Their Eyes on ITV at 7pm within inspired choice of Harry Hill hosting. It is up against The Voice on BBC1 which returns with a new judge, Rita Ora who may have pulled in some extra viewers based on what she wore (or didn't) on The One Show earlier this week. Either way, one of them will be recorded to watch later.
If you are an early bird at the weekends then at 6am Saturday is the vastly underrated Cleverdicks on Sky Atlantic and on 6am Sunday is the marvellous Interceptor on Challenge.
Sunday 7pm on ITV has a potentially funny show with a Family Misfortunes show. A good chance that you will hear Turkey as an answer during the programme.
C4 has a repeat of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown at 10pm which will be worth watching for the comedy aspect rather than the potential of long words and great mental arithmetic.
Monday sees the big quiz hitters of University Challenge and Only Connect but at 10.40pm ITV you can see a part of Gameshow history as the first episode of The Cube is repeated. And on Watch, we see a new series of Masterchef New Zealand to feast the eyes with.
The only other series worthy of a mention is on Wednesday 8pm on TLC when the Aussie version of Beauty And The Geek is aired.
As I said not much happening but I do heartily recommend visiting www.bothersbar.co.uk on Saturday to follow their unique coverage of German show, Schlag Den Raab.
Enjoy your weekend and blog speed.
I thought I would start writing a quiz blog - I always have opinions on shows and thought why not share them with the world and what better platform then to use my new website - www.mrquizworthing.co.uk which will co-exist with the new blog.
Hopefully I will find the time to write some interesting articles in here but more than likely add links to articles written by others who are far better than me in doing this kind of thing.
